Stuff on politics?

It happens that I get pissed. I’m not yet completely apathetic as I would like to be. So whatever: Dear Reader let’s piss each other off.

Some people want me to remember the Foibe tragedy, which happened 30 years before I was born; not, like… reading it in History books, but to actually feel some emotions and/or national sentiment.

Really?

Is it not “let go” what we, from the european peninsula, tell people in the Balkans, in Africa, in Palestine, and wherever so that they will stop killing each other?

cptsd exists; it stands for complex post–traumatic stress disorder; it happens when we compound bad emotions still attached to old memories about what happened to us. To overcome it, we need to reprocess those memories, detaching emotions from the bare description of the facts. So that we move on.

What do those people want from me? That I impose myself a nationalistic cptsd because thinking of myself as a victim would be healthier? Can those people sod off?

Do I need to attach emotions to the historical records of those facts, to find a moral compass and judge what is happening today? Because there are not enough massacres today to draw an inspiration from?

No.
