Tote bags for men ¶
Posted on Jan 11, 2024
It’s been years since I started using cotton tote bags
to carry my groceries and generic stuff; I split my weekly groceries and stuff shopping among more
than 3 and less than 10 markets; every now and then I carry other stuff; I need bags. I’m writing
this to demonstrate that using tote bags is an enormous display of masculinity.
- It has literally taken me years of multiple weekly use to destroy my tote bags below usability.
- I just plop cotton tote bags in the laundry machine with all the other stuff; I also quickly iron
them to keep them in shape, especially the handles.
- It is possible to find tote bags we can trust not to break under heavy load.
- It is possible to find tote bags that are more capable that the alternatives: how many non–reusable
bags do you need to match the capacity of two reusable tote bags?
- When I mindlessly throw them in the back seat of the car: cotton tote bags have superior performance
than plastic, compostable and paper bags.
- Overfilled cotton tote bags fit the metal basket at the back of my bicycle; just remember to knot
the handles.
- You show that you do not give a shit if there is 1 man in a 100 that uses tote bags when you are in
line at market’s checkout; not giving a shit is the hallmark of true men.
There is the matter of caring about the environment; there is uncertainty about what is best;
hopefully, in some future, full recycling of fabric will be possible.
