I’m back to the Mountain Bike trail just outside of town. Good. Many thanks to the CCC’s MTB group that cleared the trail removing high grass and trimming bushes.
Last summer I put some effort in overcoming my fear of throwing myself down steep descents. I have to admit that this year I have to restart almost from scratch; I’m scared every time, at every descent. Some fears are hard–coded in my DNA. Never stop fighting…
This year I also fear boars. They are here! There have been multiple sightings in the area. The trails in the woods should be perfect for them to move around and hide from farmers. Boars do not run away when they see you. There is no way I could outrun a charging boar, with my bike, on a trail.
Good luck to me!
