Appendix J Installing file magic file

Under Unix platforms it is usually available a command file that can be used to identify common file formats. Vicare Scheme installs a configuration file that file can use to identify FASL files. The file is:

/etc/file/magic/vicare-scheme

and its installation is enabled by configuring the package with the --enable-file-magic command line option of configure.
